A New York man accused of traveling to New Orleans to have sex with two 15-year-old girls pleaded guilty to his crimes in federal court Wednesday.

Peter Nealon, 66, was indicted in May on one count of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct after he messaged with two undercover federal agents who posed as teen girls on social media.

According to federal court documents, Nealon, who lives in Schenectady, messaged with the undercover agents for more than six months and in March, he planned a trip to New Orleans from Albany to have a sexual relationship with the "minors."

After one of the agents messaged Nealon on social media they began texting often, prompting Nealon to send multiple nude images to the agent along with messages telling the "teen" he wanted to take her virginity.

Nealon also said he wanted to have a threesome with the girl's underaged friend who was also an undercover agent posing as a teen.

Nealon pleaded guilty in a deal with the federal government, though online court records didn't include details of the arrangement. Nealon faces up to 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He may also be required to register as a sex offender. Nealon's sentencing is set for October 8.
