Federales Fest will make its second run on Saturday, Oct. 5, in Baton Rouge.

Williamson Eye Center is presenting the one-day music gathering at Live Oak @ Cedar Lodge, 6300 Jefferson Highway, from noon to 11 p.m.

The festival highlights Southern-rooted music with national, regional and local acts.

Artists scheduled to perform are Whitey Morgan and the 78’s, Dragon Smoke, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Taylor Hunnicutt, The Southside Roosters, The Love. Craft Band and Biscuits & Gravy.

“'The music fest your mama warned you about' … offers a perfect blend of country, rock-n-roll and Americana, with a touch of south-of-the-border flair," a news release says.

Cuisine with a Southern accent from various food vendors will be sold.

Tickets are on sale at federalesfest.com. General admission is $75 and there are a limited number of VIP experience tickets available for $200, which will include complimentary food and beverages throughout the day.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit Be Positive, a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization that seeks to support and develop the next generation of Louisiana artists, chefs and musicians. Be Positive will be hosting/sponsoring the two opening acts: Biscuits & Gravy, an all kids band from Baton Rouge Music Studios; and The Love. Craft Band, a special needs band from Athens, Georgia.
