Halloween is quickly creeping up on us, but there's a few things you should know before slipping on your costume.
Trick-or-treating will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 31, East Baton Rouge Parish officials say, and neighborhoods and community groups are welcomed to set up their own events.
Before going door-to-door, officials advise trick-or-treaters to plan a route, stay aware of surroundings, travel in a group and inspect Halloween treats.
