Louisiana showcased its award-winning float in the 2024 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, on New Year's Day.
The float won the Showmanship Award, an award for showmanship and entertainment, Louisiana's Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser shared.
For the 135th Rose Parade, the theme is "Celebrating a World of Music: The Universal Language." Louisiana's float represents the state's unique music culture with a gigantic jester as the centerpiece, and three real-life Louisiana musicians who will be accompanying it.
