After a comparatively tame second series, the latest chapter of the Netflix period drama packs full of racy scenes, including a six-minute sizzler than had fans even booking the day off work to watch.

Actress Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope, gave fans a fair warning about the scene, which has been dubbed the show's most erotic moment ever.
After comforting Nicola about an argument she had with her mother, Colin (Luke Newton) takes off her corset and eyes up her naked body.
They then start kissing, leading to one of the hottest TV moments of the year, with Colin's bare bottom and Nicola's breasts on full display.
The bonkbuster is back to its steamy best, and while Hollywood films might be shying away from sex, television over the last year has more than filled the void.

Jennifer Aniston's time in Hollywood has been squeaky clean for the most part.
That's until the third season of her hit series The Morning Show, which saw her film one of the sauciest scenes of the 55-year-old's career.
When her character, morning show host Alex, interviews a tech billionaire - played by Jon Hamm - who plans to buy the network she works for, sparks fly between the pair.

After interviewing him at his home, they fall into each other's arms and have a passionate romp that shocked fans on social media, who dubbed it "insane".
Jennifer later revealed she rejected the help of an intimacy coach for the scene.
She told People: "Jon was such a gentleman, always — I mean every move, every cut, 'You OK?'"
"It was also very choreographed. That’s the beauty of Mimi and our gorgeous editor, the music and lighting. So, you don’t prepare."

Oscar winner Kate Winslet is no stranger to sex scenes (remember THAT Titanic tryst?)
But while recording scenes for her HBO dark comedy series, things got so steamy that the crew had to be sent out.
Kate's character, Elena Vernham, an authoritarian chancellor of a fictional European country, has several romps with her love interest, Corporal Zubak, played by Matthias Schoenarts.
During the making of one scene, the crew became so giggly that they were asked to leave the set.
In an interview, Kate said: "When we were shooting Episode 5, Elena and Zubak were having sex. And she’s screaming at him, ‘No biting! No biting!’ Two people had to be sent out for laughing.”
Griselda

In Griselda, Sofia Vergara gives a rousing performance as Griselda Blanco, the Cocaine Godmother, a Colombian woman who rose up the ranks of one of the most notorious drug cartels.
Known for her famous curves, fans couldn't believe their luck when the Modern Family star stripped off for an epic scene with co-star Alberto Guerra.
As if that wasn't enough, Sofia's character can also be seen sitting in a bathtub naked after a hard day of conducting business.
She admitted to Graham Norton: "The hardest thing was that I had to wear a wig, fake teeth, fake nose, and have a plastic forehead. I also had to wear uncomfortable bras that pushed me down to make me look less Latin."
TV romps are an education

I'm thrilled to see more sizzling shows than ever in 2024.
Not only are sex scenes fun and entertaining, but they can also be educational.
By showcasing intimate relationships in a variety of contexts, these scenes can offer viewers a more realistic understanding of sex and relationships, breaking down myths and misconceptions that often surround these topics.
Many series now emphasise the importance of consent and communication, helping viewers recognise these as fundamental components of a healthy sexual relationship.
This can be especially helpful for younger audiences who might not receive good sex education elsewhere.
What’s more, diverse representations of sex in TV series can help normalise different sexual orientations, kinks and body types - empowering viewers to get in and out of the bedroom.

With its suggestive title and plot, telling the story of porn legend Rocco Siffredi, viewers were not too surprised that the show features lots of sex.
However, some Instagram users were not quite ready for the teaser that Netflix posted on its page in the lead-up to the show's premiere.
Supersex's trailer featured a shirtless Alessandro Borghi, playing Rocco, surrounded by a bevvy of beauties.
He then turns his attention to one woman, kisses her, embraces her, and wraps his hands around her bum. He then suggestively grinds her.
All this did not go down too well for some Instagram users. Many took to the platform to ask whether such a sexually-charged clip was necessary.
An hour after it appeared, the clip was deleted. And that was just the trailer!
Obsession

When it comes to raunchy TV shows, very few can compare to Netflix's Obsession.
Starring Richard Armitage and Charlie Murphy, the mini-series centres around a man who begins an affair with his son's fiancée. The film contains so much nudity that Netflix was forced to issue a warning.
The shocking scenes show bare breasts, buttocks, and, at one point, full-frontal male nudity.
As if that wasn't enough, fans of the steamy thriller had to turn off the show after main character William used a hotel pillow during an erotic solo act.
Speaking about what she found odd about filming the scenes, Charlie said: "Certain positions. Holding it while the cameras were rolling. You're like, 'I don't know if my thigh can hold my body weight here.'"
Outlander

Since its first season, Outlander has thrilled fans with countless sex scenes. In fact, many critics have said the show has redefined intimacy on the small screen.
One of the most memorable was between Roger Mackenzie and his wife Brianna, played by Roger Rankin and Sophie Skelton, respectively.
