Station 19 fans ‘sobbing’ after Morris dies in ‘unexpected’ way and say they ‘lost it’ over his funeral

STATION 19 fans have reacted to the series' newest episode, which showed one beloved character dying in an unexpected way.
The newest episode of Station 19, which is currently in its final season, showed the tragic end to Morris' life after he captured fans' hearts.

The 74-year-old Vietnam War veteran unexpectedly died in an explosion, and the airing ended with the crew giving him a full military funeral.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts after watching Season 7, Episode 6, titled So Little to Be Sure Of.
"I knew Morris was gonna die, but I wasn't expecting a fire," one person said.
"But #Station19 giving Morris a military funeral? Fuuuuuuuuuuck me up, sobs every single time," a second wrote.

"Oh, that let the floodgates open...I was tearing up throughout, but that scene REALLY let them out," a third said.
"THEY ARE ALL THERE TO GIVE MORRIS THE SEND-OFF THAT HE DESERVES - I CANNOT COPE," a fourth wrote.
"Awww they gave Morris a proper funeral, uniforms, USA flag, salute, and all," another said.

The beginning of the episode showed Morris' introduction to the Station 19 crew, where he became a regular and favorite at the clinic.

Crisis One was then called to his encampment multiple times, previously showing him disoriented as viewers learned the encampment had been cleared out.
This meant all of Morris's belongings - as well as the paperwork for his VA housing interview - were gone.

While things had been on the upswing, with a homeless Morris back on the road to get new housing, a fire then broke out at his encampment.
While firefighter Victoria Hughes had struck up a friendship with Morris and knew the encampment well, she was unable to be there due to her probation.
Travis Montgomery was seen trying to get Morris to leave his tent, but the veteran refused to lose his belongings once more.
As he went back to his tent, an explosion went off and killed Morris on the spot.
The following scene showed Travis filled with guilt, telling the team he failed to save Morris's life.
He then told Vic he wished she were there, as he believed she could've convinced Morris to walk away and possibly save his life.
Station 19 gave Morris a military funeral, showing his casket being carried with an American Flag overtop.
The end of the episode showed the flag being handed to Vic.
END OF AN ERA
The popular ABC drama will end later this year after seven seasons.
The Grey's Anatomy spinoff has just four more episodes until its Season 7 finale, which premiered last month.
The show also reached its landmark 100th episode during this season.
When word of the cancelation was first announced, fans immediately expressed their disappointment.
Showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige also admitted they barely broke in their new offices when they were told the show was ending.
"We were what, two days into shooting the new episodes? And we got the call," Zoanne told TVLine in April.
Peter said they immediately called a big staff meeting to make sure that everyone heard the news directly from them.
"Basically, we got the news and were like, 'Get the cast in, get the writers, get the crew assembled… Make sure they’re all going to meet us at lunch!' Then we raced, raced, raced to tell them before there were any leaks," he said.
Peter and Zoanne said quite a few tears were shed during the heartbreaking meeting.

Despite the cancellation, knowing the show's fate helped the pair shape the final storylines.
"There was a really complex arson storyline that we’d never done on the show," Peter explained, adding, "We had to say, 'OK, well, that’s going to be a Season Never story.'"
