Scooby-Doo live-action series coming to Netflix as fans beg streamer to ‘make it better’ than HBO’s Velma show
Fans were left disappointed with HBO's Velma and said the producers supposedly hated their fans
NETFLIX is currently working on a new live-action series based on the original Scooby-Doo cartoons.
The beloved television series, originally produced by Hanna-Barbera, should return to screens with actors rather than animations.

Scooby-Doo fans were graced with the news on Monday when The Hollywood Producer announced the script is currently under work.
The show has a script-to-screen agreement which means if the script performs well, it will straight away be made into a series.
Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg are currently involved in writing the script and adapting the old cartoons.
Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss their thoughts about the supposed new adaptation.

"Please do my boy Scrappy-Doo justice," wrote one fan with a brief video clip from the Scooby-Doo movie released in 2002.
In the clip, Scrappy jumped up from the front seat of a car where Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, and Fred sat.
Scrappy, Scooby-Doo's nephew, proceeded to pee on Daphne's dress.
"Nothing will beat the original," added another social media commenter.

BOX-OFFICE FLOP
Several social media fans begged the production company to do better than their previous show, Velma.
The spin-off show, which stars Mindy Kaling, returned to Max for its second season this year.
The series is animated and follows the main character, Velma.
While Scooby-Doo fans remain as active as ever, the show received plenty of criticism and garnered a low 39% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
"It’s an empty shell of a farce that’s not clever or engrossing. Just gross," wrote one reviewer.

"Every episode is a cringy, eye-rolling slog that doesn’t seem to have any idea who its audience is, yet seems to despise them all the same," added another.
"The series is unfocused, confused, and desperately lost," said a third.

Netflix didn't announce cast members or an expected release date for their new show, but Berlanti and his Berlanti Productions partner Sarah Schechter will be the executive producers alongside the company’s Leigh London Redman.
