THE Young and Restless star Marla Adams has died.
The Emmy Award-winning actress was 85 years old.
On Thursday, Matt Kane, director of media and talent for The Young and Restless revealed the news.
He said that she died in Los Angeles, California.
Marla was most famous for her role as Dina Abbott Mergeron in the iconic soap series.
HER CAREER
Marla was born on August 28, 1938, in Ocean City, New Jersey.

When she graduated high school in 1956, she went on to attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
Marla started as a Broadway star in the late 1950s.
She starred alongside Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in The Visit.
In 1961, she returned to the stage in Splendor in the Grass with Natalie Wood.

In 1968, she portrayed Belle Clemens in the CBS daytime drama The Secret Storm up until 1974, when her character died.
Eight years later in 1982, she began her role as Dina Abbott Mergeron on The Young and the Restless.
However, she was only on the series for three years due to her contract expiring.
That didn't stop her from making guest appearances throughout the show's run in 1991, 1996, 2008, and 2017.
Dina returned once more in 2020 where fans witnessed her heartbreaking death.
Marla has won a Daytime Emmy award for her role in the drama series.
After filming her final scene, Marla discussed what it was like being on the show.
"Of all the characters I've played from The Secret Storm to Broadway, this has been the most astonishing, amazing part I've ever had the privilege to play," she explained.

"She was great as Dina. RIP Marla Adams, you'll be missed by Y&R fans for sure," one wrote.
Another tweeted, "Omg how sad. Loved this Emmy winner. Rip."
