THROW another name on the list of celebs fans want to replace Katy Perry.

The singer has announced she is stepping away from American Idol to focus on new music, leaving an empty seat at the judge's table.

Katy announced earlier this week she was exiting American Idol, and will turn her attention instead to creating new music.

Almost immediately, a dream list of replacement judges was formed by fans, populated with names like Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift.

And now, a new name has emerged, thanks to a discussion on Reddit: Demi Lovato.

One Lovatic posed the possibility in a chat room.

"Do you think Demi Lovato would make a good judge on the show?" the author titled his post, before justifying his choice.

"I think she would make a great judge in the show. She’s been around for years. She done multiple genres. She has so much range.

"She would kill it in the show," the person continued. "Also she was a judge in X-Factor before as well."

In the comments section, other users backed the suggestion.

"I was going to suggest Demi as well," another person commented. "Good choice."

While a third pointed out, "She's so opinionated as well."

DANCE AGAIN

However, so far, it looks like one name in particular is tops of the replacement list: former judge Jennifer Lopez.

The 54-year-old singer was a judge for Seasons 10 and 11 and later returned for Seasons 13, 14, and 15.

And now, she could be ready to return, once Katy finishes the upcoming Season 22.

"J.Lo will be asked to come back," a show source told DailyMail.com. "When people come back, things work.

"People like nostalgia, and people like Jen. It would be a big get to get her back."

J.Lo previously opened up about her time on Idol in her Netflix documentary, Halftime.

The pop star explained the importance of the gig, especially since it came shortly after her divorce from Marc Anthony and after the birth of her twins, Emme and Max.

CLEANING HOUSE

Jennifer may not be the show's only big addition. Katy's departure could just be the catalyst for sweeping changes - including the replacement of the remaining judges, Lionel Richie, 74, and Luke Bryan, 47.

The pair have both served as judges since the revival in 2018.

"They would consider changing the entire panel if need be, even though they love Lionel and Luke," the DailyMail.com insider continued, adding that Idol could also "go younger and have a younger voice in the mix, because if they keep Luke and Lionel, they want someone who is a bit of a firecracker."

Even host Ryan Seacrest is getting involved in the process, telling producers to go big with any new talents.

"Right now every option is on the table," the source confided. "It will take a few months to figure out full details and a replacement, but Ryan is having them think outside the box."

And no name is being left off the table - including the biggest pop star in the world, Taylor Swift.

"She will be offered the job," they continued, admitting it's a long shot.

"[Producers] are just thinking about what would be the best-case scenario.

"But they aren't holding their breath on getting Taylor."
