Send a handwritten iMessage

You can make a Valentine's Day text extra special by sending it in your own handwriting.

You'll need iOS 10 of above for this feature.

Go to your iPhone Messages app and select the conversation in which you want to write a message.

You should see a heart symbol with two fingers on it under the toolbar where you type text.

This is the Digital Touch symbol, click it and a black box will pop up.

Here you can use your finger or a stylus to write out a message.

Swipe up on the black box to make it bigger.

Once you're done with your handwritten message, click the blue arrow to send.

Send a heartbeat via iMessage

This trick also relies on the Digital Touch icon.

Follow the steps above to open Digital Touch on the relevant iMessage.

Then, tap and hold the black box with two fingers.

This will send a heartbeat to the special person in question.

Digital Touch messages animate and then disappear once they've been opened unless you or the receiver clicks the "Keep" button to save it.

If you're an Apple Watch user, the heartbeat you send will be based on your most recent heart rate reading.

Does Siri have a boyfriend?

Apple has programmed your iPhone's virtual assistant with lots of joke answers.

Siri has some rather sarcastic replies when it's quizzed on love and relationships.

Ask Siri if they have a boyfriend or girlfriend and they'll have several responses.

One is: "No, but drones are always trying to pick me up."

And another is: "My end user licence agreement is commitment enough for me."

Siri even has an answer for "Will you go on a date with me?".

The virtual assistant should reply: "Well, this is awkward. I'd love to, but I lack corporeal form."
