How to go live on TikTok
TIKTOK is hugely popular with more than a billion users.
One of the biggest features people love making use of is the live function - though not everyone can access it.
How to go live on TikTok
Going live on TikTok is pretty simple.
However, you will need a minimum number of followers, as well as being aged 16 or over.
(You can still have an account from the age of 13 though.)
Once you're set on that front, all you need to do is tap the main + button at the bottom of your screen.
You'll see a Live option available.
Give your stream a title - this is important if you want to get traffic from searches and tags.
And when you're all good to go, hit Go LIVE.

How many followers do I need to go live on TikTok?
Sadly, not everyone can do lives on TikTok.
The app requires a minimum of 1,000 followers, so newcomers will need to build up their audience a bit.
It's an annoying rule that's around so that only popular accounts can go live.
The idea is to create a goal to strive towards. The more followers you gain, the more people interact with you, which adds up to more views overall on the social app.

TikTok's user count is now in the billions and any one of them can view your live stream.
A live icon appears next to any account profile picture when they're live streaming, so others can tell instantly.
But if you chose to switch to a private account, you'll have more control over who watches, with the ability to approve those who can follow you, view your content, live streams, bio, likes, following and followers lists.
You can also limit the audience for your videos in Privacy Settings, no matter what type of account you have.
There are live streams in the app for you to view as well.
