HUNDREDS of Verizon customers reported an outage with the carrier on Tuesday afternoon.
Over 1,200 people reported Verizon services were down before 3 pm ET, per Downdetector.
The majority of users had issues with their mobile phones as their service showed an SOS message.
The outage appeared to be localized in Augusta, Georgia.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Verizon for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Verizon offers $830 off iPhone
Verizon is offering a $829 savings to new or existing customers who add a new line and buy the iPhone 15.
To get the deal, they must sign up for the Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Plan.
Existing customers can trade in their iPhone of any model in any condition to save $830 on the iPhone 15.
The trade-in credit will be repaid over 36 months.
