Dunne has spent four years with the team and looked set to leave gymnastics behind.

Livvy revealed Monday she will return for a fifth year at LSU, taking up her little-known option of an extra season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Dear LSU, These past four years have changed my life," she said in a video posted to her 5.3 Instagram followers.

"There’s something about putting on a purple and gold leotard.

"There’s something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming Tiger fans.

"There’s something about being pushed by your coaches to do your very best.

"And there’s something about being part of a team that made school history.

"No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU.

"And that’s why I’m here to say, I’m not Dunne yet. Here’s to Year Five, baby."

One of the country's most lucrative college athletes, Livvy boasts more than 13 million online fans.

Fans flocked to LSU meets throughout last season in a bid to catch a glimpse of the influencer.

Extra security had to be installed across campus as Dunne's fame skyrocketed following her online posts.

Dunne's loyal fanbase was quick to comment after her career revelation on Monday night.

"Real athletes do 5 years, congrats," wrote one fan in the comments.

"Bros been at LSU for a decade," laughed another.

DUNNE AND SKENES' SUMMER OF LOVE

Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes managed to keep their relationship a secret before finally going public last summer.

The pair met at LSU, but it's not clear when they started dating.

Rumors of a romance began when Dunne watched LSU win the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska last summer.

And Dunne then posted selfies from Fort Myers in Florida, where Skenes was playing.

He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his pro career by playing in minor leagues in the Sunshine State.

The final clue came when Dunne posed in a Pirates cap before the pair finally went public.

"This is the news the world needed," added a third.

"I’m so glad! Can’t wait to see what you accomplish this year!" commented a fourth.

Dunne has been a gymnast since the age of 3.

She hails from Hillsdale, New Jersey, and is majoring in communication studies.

Dunne appeared nine times for the Tigers last season as they won a first-ever NCAA championship.

Livvy scored career-highs of 9.857 on floor and 9.838 on bars in 2023 and was handed the Coaches Award by her teammates.

She has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in each of her four years at LSU.

Away from the gym, Dunne has enjoyed a whirlwind 2024.

She boasts a number of NIL sponsorship deals which have seen her traveling around the country.

Dunne was recently in New York, teaming up with influencer Lily Chee in a collaboration for Sony.
