SHANNON Sharpe was seen courtside at a matchup between the Las Vegas Aces and the Indiana Fever.

After discussing the WNBA on many episodes of First Take, Sharpe got out to a game in person.

Sharpe sat courtside in a sellout crowd at T-Mobile Arena, a venue in Las Vegas.

It isn't the usual home of the Aces, but like some other teams they have moved to bigger arenas for when Caitlin Clark comes around.

Clark is accustomed to playing in sellout crowds, but the 20,366 person attendance was the fifth-largest in WNBA history and the largest regular season crowd since 1999.

"There were a couple of times you could feel the building was about to erupt," Aces coach Becky Hammon said.

"There's a lot of eyes on us now. Vegas has been showing up, though, for the past few years, so I'm not surprised.

"It was pretty loud in there. The more fans the merrier, whoever you're coming to watch."

While Sharpe sat in for the show, he wasn't there for Clark, as he was seen chatting with Aces players after the game.

Sharpe chopped it up with A'ja Wilson, who produced one of her best games of the season on Tuesday.

She dropped 28 points, nine rebounds, and tallied five blocks against Clark's Fever.

Wilson didn't even have the best performance of the night though, as Kelsey Plum stole the show with a 34 point performance.

She also added six rebounds and five assists to her totals for the night.

"When you can shoot it like she can shoot it, and she's fast -- that's the hardest thing in basketball," Hammon said of Plum.

"To guard a live-ball closeout with somebody who can shoot, drive, pass and close out in the paint."

Sharpe was clearly impressed by the Aces performance, as he was seen courtside laughing and clapping as the team went to work.

In the end, the Aces dominated the Fever 88-69 in a game where Clark struggled to shoot.

How the WNBA works

THE 2024 WNBA season features 12 teams with the regular-season running from May 14 to September 9.

Each team plays 40 regular-season games - four against five teams from the same conference and two teams from the other conference, and three games against the remaining four teams.

The top eight teams in the league standings qualify for the playoffs - regardless of what conference they're in.

The playoffs will use a best-of-three format in the first round while the semifinals and WNBA Finals are best of five.

This season also includes a month-long break for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Las Vegas Aces are defending back-to-back WNBA champions.

She scored 13 points while also notching six rebounds and 11 assists.

However, Clark only shot 4-12 from the field, going a measly 1-7 from beyond the arc. She did make all four of her free throws.

Clark was named to the All Star team though, alongside her rookie rival Angel Reese.

On the other side, the Aces had four of their starters make the All Star team.
