MYSTIK DAN has won the 150th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
It was an epic photo finish with Mystik Dan, Sierra Leone and Forever Young all neck and neck on the finish line.
But it was Mystik Dan that landed the huge $3.1millon payday and trainer Kenny McPeek's first Kentucky Derby win.

Living the dream of a champion
Brian Hernandez has dreamt of this moment since he was a child.
Today he managed to achieve his dream, riding into the winners' circle of the Kentucky Derby.
He said it will take some time for this win to sink in, but it seems to be doing just that.

Eyes on the prize for Hernandez
As he approached the Kentucky Derby trophy, you could see just how much the win meant to Brian Hernandez.
Coming from a family of racing winners, he always said he would only ever enter the winners' circle riding a horse and he duly delivered.
His trainer said he was the most underrated jockey in America, not any more.

Trainer Kenneth McPeek and jockey Brian Hernandez have pulled off the rare double in American racing.
They have won the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby in the same year.
It has not been done since 1952 and the celebrations will continue long into the evening.
