A SUSPECTED arsonist accidentally set himself on fire while trying to execute a raid.

Surveillance footage released by cops showed a fireball exploding in the face of the hooded crook in Richmond, Canada, leaving him reeling.

Two men smashed a window before they appeared to hurl something into the building in the clip from April.

A fire erupted before there was an explosion, sending the two figures scampering.

One man bolted away from the scene, while the other man’s foot was on fire.

He threw himself to the ground and his mask even fell off.

The man started rolling over frantically as he tried to extinguish the flames.

His accomplice darted back and tried to put out the raging inferno.

He was seen flapping aimlessly as the fire continued to burn.

Meanwhile, the man, whose trousers were alight, continued to roll around on the tarmac.

Cops said it was probable that the man suffered injuries to his lower body.

One of the suspects was described as a man, whose age ranges from 40 to 50.

Meanwhile, the other man, thought to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was sporting a hoodie, balaclava and dark jogging pants.

Police issued an urgent appeal as they appealed for further details.

Cops swarmed on the scene and revealed they discovered a broken window.

And, they also found evidence that the blaze had been intentionally lit.

In 2022, footage emerged from Key West, Florida, that showed two people setting fire to a Christmas tree.
