THE Tupac Shakur murder suspect and party pal of Diddy insists he had nothing to do with the multiple raids on the rapper's homes as part of a federal sex trafficking probe.

Duane "Keefe D" Davis has shot down claims that he co-operated with federal authorities as part of their high-profile investigation into rap mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Keefe, who partied with Diddy and even acted as his close protection in the 1990s, has refused to speak with Homeland Security officials in their investigation, his lawyer Carl Arnold told The U.S. Sun.

Arnold said suggestions that the 60-year-old one-time Compton gang Kingpin had attempted any plea deal in a bid to prevent his potential life imprisonment if found guilty of Tupac Shakur’s murder as "totally false."

A family associate of Keefe also told The U.S. Sun that “squealing on Puffy would look bad” for the self-confessed criminal, who denies being the “shot caller” in Shakur’s 1996 Vegas killing.

In an exclusive interview, Arnold refuted suggestions that his client had been pivotal in the FBI and Homeland Security probe.

Arnold said, “No. Keefe has not talked to those people. That suggestion is totally false.”

Asked about whether he is engaged in any kind of plea deal with Las Vegas prosecutors over his ongoing murder charges, Arnold added, “There is nothing at all going on like that.”

Keefe is currently languishing in jail, after failing to find the bail money to secure a home electrically monitored release.

Judge Carli Kierny set his bail at  $750k, three months ago, but Keefe has not raised the sum and remains in protective custody at the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) in Las Vegas.

A friend of Keefe’s family added that the one-time Compton kingpin wants it to be known within gang circles that he “didn’t snitch on Puffy."

The source being seen as a “snitch” has “serious safety ramifications” within prison.

He revealed, “Keefe is not sitting at the CCDC mouthing off about being the one to bring this drama down on Puffy.

“Firstly he is saying that because he has not interacted with the ‘feds’ on the advice of his lawyer at the moment.

“Keefe feels that law enforcement have betrayed him many times over the years, especially because he still feels to this day that when he gave them information about Tupac’s death (known as a proffer) it just took the heat away from him over a potential long term jail sentence.

“Keefe continues to tell people the set up with cop Greg Kading and his task force was all bulls**t; and was illegally recorded and should not be used in his trial.

'I GOT SCREWED BY THE COPS'

“So that is his chat at the CCDC: 'I got screwed and lied on by the cops in LA and now these guys in Vegas.’

“Another truth is that even before the Diddy raid happened, Keefe was worried about being seen as an informant.

“Within the criminal community, someone with that reputation can have real problems behind bars and faces potential beat downs or even murder attempts.

“So Keefe doesn’t want to be seen, residing in prison waiting for trial, as a snitch by other inmates.

“He wants it out there that he ain’t doing no deals or having nothing to do with them Feds in this Diddy thing.”

The family associate added that “Keefe ain’t no doing no deal with those Vegas guys at this time. He and his lawyer reckon they have got a strong case and he’ll be found innocent.”

Keefe and Diddy have a complicated relationship dating back to the 1990s, when the rapper’s record label Bad Boy hired him as extra West Coast security.

Keefe has confessed many times he protected the New Yorker and his acts at California gigs and hung out with them on several occasions.

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson’s team included bombshell audio recordings of Keefe alleging Diddy offered him one million dollars for ‘Pac’s assassination and then failing to pay in a police interview, as evidence in the gangster's upcoming trial.

The 2008 LAPD interview recording features Keefe, without any firm evidence, claiming he oversaw the fatal shooting of the Ghetto Gospel star on the request of Diddy.

Diddy, he repeatedly told officers, wanted rival record label boss Suge Knight and his top performing artist Tupac dead as a war of words broke out during the East/West Coast rap wars.

Keefe says that Diddy, now 54, declared: “Man I want to get rid of those dudes.”

S**t he [Diddy] said he would give us anything for those dude's [Tupac and Suge's] heads you know?

The 60-year-old Compton Crip insisted that the million-dollar reward was proposed by Diddy, who has publicly dismissed claims he was involved in Tupac’s death as “nonsense."

Keefe openly boasted about growing close to Diddy, then owner of Bad Boy Records and global music superstar,  through mutual friend gangster Eric “Zip” Martin.

Keefe, who has since denied being involved in Tupac’s death, offered no corroboration of his troubling claims.

On tape, Keefe played out for officer Greg Kading how Diddy - then known as Puffy or Puff Daddy - discussed his hatred of Knight after an Anaheim concert to Crip gang members covering his security detail.

Keefe said, “S**t, he said he would give us anything for those dudes [Tupac and Suge's] heads you know?”

'MILLION DOLLAR HIT'

“We wanted a million,” Keefe said, adding that “we will wipe their a** out quick you know - it is nothing.”

When asked by an officer “who brought up the amount of one million dollars”, Keefe replied “s**t he did. It wasn’t me.”

Keefe said Diddy had several conversations with him where he ordered him to “kill" both Suge and Tupac.

Keefe believed that this confessional tape would never be used as evidence against him, because he had secured immunity by corroborating with the LAPD in December 2008.

But that deal, known as a proffer, collapsed if Keefe spoke publicly about those matters or was found to have lied to police.

Keefe has also complained in his memoir and media interviews that Diddy never came though on his alleged hit fee.

Meanwhile, Diddy is said to be livid federal agents raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami late last month.

Aaron Dyer, an attorney for the hip-hop billionaire, complained of an "excessive show” and “gross overuse of military-level force" adding his client is innocent.

Dyer said, "There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.

"Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.”

Homeland Security Investigations have not provided much detail of their “ongoing investigation” and pledged to "provide further information as it becomes available.”

The Associated Press reported searches were part of an ongoing sex trafficking probe by federal authorities.
