ARIANA Grande has teamed up with R&B legends Monica Arnold and Brandy Norwood to remix her new hit, The Boy Is Mine.

The pop star's song, which is on her Eternal Sunshine album, is inspired by the 1998 collaboration between Brandy, 45, and Monica, 43.

The remix was released today, and fans have quickly shown excitement over the trio's collab.

"Ariana healing brandy and monica’s frriendship… this is insane," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

"Ariana Grande featuring Brandy and Monica on The Boy is Mine has gotta be the best thing that happened to me this year," said another.

"I usually don't care about remixes but I love the boy is mine remix with Brandy and mMonica. I think I like it better than the original version," added a third.

New visuals also dropped for the remix, in which both Brandy and Monica make an appearance alongside Ariana, 30.

COMING TOGETHER

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Monica said she was looking forward to re-working Ariana's song and reuniting with Brandy.

"I've always said that the song should not be touched, right? And I said that because I felt that it did not need to be redone in the idea of, let's say, actually doing it the exact way that it was," Monica explained.

"But Ariana and [producer] Max Martin — as soon as I heard this version, I fell in love with it."

Speaking about Ariana's character, the So Gone hitmaker said her "humility" and "compassion" made her a joy to work with.

"On the day that we recorded, I received flowers and a note that was directly from her. Everything has been directly from her chest and, for me, authenticity, humility, all of those things are key," Monica said.

Monica revealed the two would often FaceTime while working on the song, which always felt authentic and showed that Ariana prioritized paying homage to the original.

She also talked about how Ariana humbly approached the collaboration in the first place, noting how it helped to reconnect her and Brandy — who have had rumored beef over the years.

"The process of the new collaboration did a lot of closing the gaps," she explained.

"When you properly communicate, something — you can find not only the resolutions and solutions to problems — but sometimes you find that there weren't ever problems, just consistent miscommunications."

RUMORED FEUD

Following the massive success of The Boy is Mine in the late '90s, the two singers were rumored to have been in an ongoing feud.

In 2020, the stars put the chatter to rest after the above-mentioned outlet asked about their "rocky" relationship.

"It was not something that I would say was anyone's fault," Monica said, adding, "We all added to it, and after a while, it became real."

"It's over now. And it took a very adult conversation. There's no shame in saying that.

"We had to come to that place and to that moment that we had, that allowed us to sit here today. That had to happen first," she continued.

Monica reiterated the statement in her new interview, adding that Ariana helped bring the two longtime friends back together.

"We recognized that the key was to keep other people out of our relationship, both business and personal, and let it be between she and I, and that has changed everything," Monica said.

"It's changed the trajectory of it in its totality."

She also noted that Brandy was the one she talked to while her son was recently in the hospital.

The singer went on to thank Ariana for bringing her and Brandy back together in such a special way — most likely without even realizing it.
