Sunday, June 16

1:01 a.m. An officer took a report for a vehicle accident where a man was still within the backseat of a car that was reportedly in a ditch and missing the right back tire near the White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway. The man was arrested under suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid driver’s license, careless driving, and failing to present proof of insurance.

Monday, June 17

10:36 a.m. A man was cited with possession of marijuana on city property at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

5:20 p.m. An officer served a warrant and a summons to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:31 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of shoplifting and a warrant. She was also issued a trespass notice from the Family Dollar Cortez, 324 S. Broadway. A man she was accompanied by was also issued a trespass notice at the request of the business.

Tuesday, June 18

12:47 a.m. A woman who was already trespassed from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.

6:58 a.m. An officer took a report for an abandoned vehicle at a property in the 400 block of South Ash Street. The owner of the vehicle stated in the report that she did not know her vehicle was missing from her home on Fourth St.

12:04 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 980 S. Broadway after a report of an individual illegally camping in a no-trespassing area was made.

Wednesday, July 19

8:20 a.m. A man was cited with trespassing at the Post Office, 35 S. Beech St.

10:24 a.m. An officer responded to a report of an unwanted person or welfare check at Walgreens, 1671 E. Main St. The subject, stated she was “on her period and was bleeding all over herself and had nothing to clean her or her clothes up with.” Dispatch alerted the officer that the woman had a warrant for failure to appear, and the officer arrested her.

4:14 p.m. A man was cited for trespassing at Davita, 610 E. Main St.

9:08 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 100 N. Harrison St.

Thursday, July 20

3:51 p.m. An officer took a report for counterfeit bills a woman tried to use to send a Western Union money order to New Mexico at the City Market, 508 E. Main St.

6:46 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of trespassing and resisting/interfering a peace officer at Speedway, 921 E. Main St.

8:26 p.m. An officer took a report for property damage at the White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway, where a man’s ex-girlfriend threw a brick through his room window.

Friday, June 21

12:17 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

5:54 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant who was yelling at cars while he was crossing the street near the Wiggi Wash, 1115 E. Main St.

6:19 p.m. An officer cited a man with disturbing the peace after receiving several complaints about the man revving his engine near his property in the 1320 block of E. North St.

7:31 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.

Saturday, June 22

12 a.m. Officers arrested a man on suspicion of resisting/interfering with an officer and shoplifting of $140.73 in alcohol and two bottles of cough medicine at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

11:25 p.m. An officer cited a woman with violation of bond conditions for possessing and consuming alcohol outside of the Main Street Brewery, 21 E. Main St.

2:03 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and cited with DUI at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. 7th St.

9:05 p.m. An officer arrested a man and woman on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

9:08 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers, 221 E. Main St.

11:50 p.m. An officer took a report for a woman who was suspected to be in violation of a criminal protection order at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.
