AZTEC – The holiday weekend was cause for celebration Saturday night at Aztec Speedway, where 360 Non-Wing Sprint Cars took center stage at the three-eighths mile track.
Colt Treharn invaded Aztec Speedway via Los Lunas to capture the featured event in the 360 Non-Wing division, beating Caleb Stelzig, Don Grable, Michael Fanelli and Robert Marfia. Non-Wing Mini Sprints finished out the night with Glen Holmes coming down from Grand Junction, Colo., earning the victory ahead of Keelan Mathews and Josh Huish.
In the Northern Sportmods featured event, Aaron Spangler earned his second win over this course during the season, beating Jackson Harpole, Keelan Matthews, Alex Sutherlin and Camron Spangler to the finish line.
The Stock Cars put on arguably the race of the night with Robert Reed from Cortez getting the narrow win over Allen Bradley. The top pair were followed by Traci Bradley, Jay Kibel and Nathan Lemons.
In the Modifieds, Julian Garcia picked up the 80th win of his career when he crossed the finish line ahead of Travis Sutherlin, Paul Campos, Korey Brewer and Devin Roquemore.
Farmington’s Kyler Duggins found victory lane in the featured event in the Hobby Stock Class followed by Evan Ray, Michael Bray and Jason Duggins. Since 2022, Kyler Duggins has finished in the top five 42 times from 46 starts in featured races.
Shane DeVilbiss took the win in the Dwarf/Modlite class followed by Clay Goben, Cauy Ludwig and Terry Christensen. Katie Barthel found victory lane in the Sport Compact division followed by Alfred Hicks, Dustin Craig, Clayton Tillia and Paul Campos.

Aztec Speedway returns to action on the weekend of July 26 & 27 with POWRI 360 Wing Sprint Cars making their first appearance of the season. Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez returns to action this weekend for the Jesse “J.D.” Minor Memorial. Racing begins at 6:30 p.m. for this weekend’s programs.
Kart Kanyon returns to action on Saturday after rains forced the cancellation of action on June 21 and 22.
