Former Ole Miss football quarterback Eli Manning lent a hand to nephew Arch Manning for an important announcement on Tuesday.

Arch Manning announced he will be in EA Sports' new "College Football 25" video game, after it was previously reported that he would opt out of using his name, image and likeness (NIL) for the title, which is set to release on July 19.

Arch Manning posted his video he posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday; it his first post on the platform since Oct. 11, 2023. The video shows Eli Manning calling a play for his nephew, with the current Texas quarterback shown playing the game with a set of shoulder pads on.

Arch Manning then gets into his quarterback cadence, jokingly saying "Omaha" — a reference to his uncle Peyton Manning's famous cadence that resulted in the name of his media company, "Omaha Productions." The video then shows him throwing a touchdown with his virtual player, which is shown in the video.

Orangebloods.com originally reported in March that Arch Manning was opting out of the game to focus on "playing football on the field." Now, he has apparently changed course.

EA Sports' game will feature 85-man rosters for every team, and reached its goal of 10,000 players just eight days after opening up the opt-in process, according to ESPN. Each player who opted into the game receives $600 and a copy of the game.

Arch Manning, who's set to be the Longhorns' backup quarterback this season behind Heisman Trophy candidate Quinn Ewers, was the No. 1-ranked player in the 2023 recruiting class, according to 247Sports' Composite rankings.
