Colonel James Roy Miller (AUS. Ret.) “Jimmy”, age 90, of Brentwood, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born June 17th, 1934 in Athens, TN to the late Clyde Lewis Miller and Jewell Calhoun Miller Wright.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife Charlotte “Sissy” Guinn Miller of 68 years, three daughters Jamea Miller Harper (Cy), Lauren “Lolly” Jewell Miller, Mariam Miller Kohl (Jeff) and four grandchildren who he was so incredibly proud of Cyrus “Rus” Wayne Harper III (Jenny), Elizabeth Miller Harper, Eleanor McKenna Kohl and Miller Grace Kohl, as well as many beloved “Calhoun Cousins”.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Brentwood United Methodist Church with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends in the Narthex from 12:00-1:00 p.m. preceding the service. Reception to follow in Haney Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to Brentwood United Methodist Church.
