Copa America outright winner odds: Argentina head market

Argentina are 4/5 favourites to win the 2024 Copa America and retain the trophy they lifted for a record-equalling 15th time in 2021.

Brazil, the beaten finalists on home soil three years ago, are out of the competition after losing to Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay, who are now 11/4 second favourites in the outright winner betting.

Messi hoping for dream ending

Argentina are 4/5 favourites to win the Copa America, which could be the final international tournament for the legendary Lionel Messi.

Messi and his side are into the semi-finals after winning their quarter-final against Ecuador on penalties following a 1-1 draw.  

The world champions now face Canada, who are rank outsiders at 25/1 after coming through a penalty shoot-out themselves to beat Venezuela.

Marcelo Bielsa’s impressive Uruguay side beat Brazil in the third quarter-final to go to spot-kicks, winning 4-2. They are 11/4 second favourites to win the competition for the first time since 2011.

In the last four they face 7/2 shots Colombia, who bucked the trend of tight quarter-final ties with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Panama.
