In the US, for instance, you can currently pick up the excellent Motorola Razr (2023) for just $449.99 (down from $699.99), or the OnePlus 12R for $399.99 (down from $499.99). In the UK, you can save a whopping 30% on the Google Pixel 8 Pro, while Amazon is also offering at least £100 off all iPhone 15 models. Tempting pre-order promotions for the newly released Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are live in both regions, too.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?
Amazon Prime Day 2024 takes place on July 16 and 17, so note these dates down in your calendar if you're on the hunt for phone discounts. As you'll have seen, a handful of decent phone deals are already live, but it's likely that the best deals will be concentrated over this Tuesday and Wednesday.
If you're revisiting this page from earlier in the year, then you'll note that we essentially predicted July 16 and 17 as the dates for Prime Day 2024. Generally speaking, Amazon's summer Prime Day event always takes place within the first few weeks of July, and always on a Tuesday and Wednesday. In previous years, there's also been a second Prime Day in October in the first few weeks of that month (which is worth bearing in mind if you miss this upcoming event).
What kind of phone deals should I expect on Prime Day?
If you're in the US, expect deals on unlocked Android devices exclusively. If you're in the UK, there may be a few listings for iPhones, but again, the best deals will generally be on Android devices.
That means you can expect great prices on devices from Samsung, Google, OnePlus, and other leading brands over Prime Day, without the annoying plans or contracts that are commonly needed at other carriers. The biggest savings usually come to the higher-end phones, but Amazon has a decent stock of cheaper phones, too, which can be a great choice if you're looking to pair up a budget device with a cheap cell phone plan.
Will you need a Prime account for these deals?
Yes – you'll need an active Amazon Prime account to be eligible for the vast majority of deals across Prime Day, phones included. There are a few exceptions to this, but generally speaking, all the best Prime Day phone deals will be exclusive to Prime members.
