Canada went 1-1 with Venezuela thanks to Jacob Shaffelburg’s goal at 13′, but the shootout went all the way to six rounds, with goalkeepers matching each other save-for-save, shot-for-shot, before Ismael Kone finally bested Rafael Romo, and Maxime Crépeau held off Wilker Angel.

Canada and Argentina clashed in the Group Stage of the tournament last month, where Argentina cruised to a 2-0 victory off goals from Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez. Argentina dominated Canada with 65% possession during the game, and nine shots on target to just two from Canada.
