Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse University is starting a scholarship in memory of the slain Cleveland police officer who graduated from the school five years ago.

The Jamieson Ritter Memorial ROTC Scholarship at SU will be provided to an ROTC student who is working toward a law enforcement career. That’s the path Ritter, a 2019 graduate, took on his way to becoming a Cleveland police officer.
