UPDATED:

Here are all of the Sun Sentinel Editorial Board’s endorsements for the Nov. 3 general election ballot in Broward and southern Palm Beach counties. Click on the highlighted name to read our recommendation.

The races may appear in a slightly different order than on your ballot. This is how we’ve listed them: federal; state, including the courts and constitutional amendments; Broward County races, including the courts and charter questions; Palm Beach County races, including the courts; then municipal races.

Though 20 Broward cities are holding municipal elections, manpower issues forced us to limit our focus to cities with more than 100,000 population — Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Pompano Beach. We added Hallandale Beach for good measure.

We do not offer endorsements in races where a named candidate faces only a write-in challenger (whose name does not appear on the ballot,) as in the Broward public defender’s race.

With mail-in ballots now in the field, we will publish a summary box of our endorsements in the newspaper every Sunday. During Early Voting and again on Election Day, we will publish our summary box daily.
