A man died Tuesday when he went into a lake at Royal Palm Park in Oakland Park but never surfaced.
The man was later identified as Frandy Colas, 29, of Oakland Park, according to a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Broward Sheriff’s Office and Sunrise Police Department divers found the man’s body and are investigating the events that led up to his death.
Someone called 911 just after 6:30 p.m. to report the emergency. A representative for the Broward Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing, but they do not suspect foul play.
