Sam Roulanaitis, Freeburg
The righthander was a dominating force in the circle with 24-2 record and a 1.05 ERA. She fanned 322 batters in 167 innings — an average of 13.5 strikeouts per contest. Bound for Lindenwood University, Roulanaitis tossed a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a win over Roxana on April 4. She struck out 10 or more batters 19 times including 18 against Newton on April 19. Also paced the Midgets with nine homers and 40 RBI.

Helped Bulldogs to a fourth-place finish at the Class 3A state tournament with eight homers and 43 RBI. Batted .383 with a .723 slugging percentage. Drove in three runs or more five times highlighted by a two-homer, 7-RBI effort against New Athens. Served as a perfect complement to pitcher Mia Miller, who earned player of the year honors.

Led the entire area with 71 RBI, 26 more than her closest competitor. Batted .480 and had 19 multi-hit games including three 4-for-4 performances. Struck out just twice in final 63 plate appearances. Recorded seven RBI against Ste. Genevieve on April 18.

Helped the Tigers to a 23-9 record and share of Southwestern Conference title by hitting .402. Closed the season on a 5-for-14 tear as Edwardsville reached the Class 4A sectional round. Began the season by hitting safely in eight of first nine games and never slowed down.

Hit .417 with a .784 slugging percentage. Began season on an 8-for-9 tear.
Ripped nine home and batted .473. Stole 27 bases with being caught. Led area with 49 runs scored.
Her .828 slugging percentage was third in the area. Hit .484 with a team-high 24 RBI.
Batted .450 with a .680 slugging percentage. Had a team-high 28 RBI.
Drove in 43 runs and had three RBI in playoff wins over Quincy and rival Edwardsville.
Recorded a team-best .642 slugging percentage. Had RBI in final six games. Heading to Murray State University.
Hit .464 with 18 RBI. Stole 17 bases and was caught only once.
Went 18-9 in the circle with 1.62 ERA and also batted .303 with a team-high 31 RBI.
Hit .423 with a .615 slugging percentage. Began season with eight-game hitting streak.
Went 7-2 in the circle with a 2.52 ERA. Also hit .529 with 40 RBI and a .748 slugging percentage.
