Lauryn Hill and the Fugees will not be playing a makeup date here for the concert they canceled last November.
On Monday, Hill and the trio with which she first made her name announced their 22-date tour running from August through October. St. Louis is not on the list. The closest show will be Aug. 31 in Tinley Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Hill and the Fugees canceled several concerts late last year, citing vocal strain affecting Hill. In October, she apologized to her Philadelphia fans for postponing a show there, and announced that its makeup date would be Nov. 25, which was the scheduled date of the St. Louis show.
She did not apologize to her St. Louis fans.
This year's shows are being billed as the 25th anniversary tour of Hill's groundbreaking album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." Last year's shows were also billed as the 25th anniversary of "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." The album was released in 1998.
