From the depths of the ocean to a 200-foot-high observation wheel, St. Louis Union Station — one of the most exciting entertainment districts in St. Louis, Missouri — provides Chicagoland visitors an immersive adventure with a touch of nostalgia all summer long.
The first train pulled into Union Station on Sept. 1, 1894, at 1:45 p.m., ushering in a new and exciting time for St. Louis. The city known for being the gateway to the West suddenly became a gateway to all of America. Over the next several years, Union Station would become one of the largest and busiest passenger rail terminals in the world.
Today, a trip to Union Station is perfect for people of all ages. Here are some highlights.

Fire, light and water shows
The hourly fire, light and water shows are a spectacle not to be missed. Watch the color-changing 100-foot-waterfall and water sprays dance to the beat of music as flames shoot 25 feet into the air. In addition, a 3D light show occurs hourly in the spectacular Grand Hall lobby at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton.
