Based in Atlanta, he reports on health care in a region that stretches from Texas to Virginia to Florida, and writes stories about the places where patients and practitioners interact with each other. Prior to STAT, he worked as a staff writer for CNN, Atlanta magazine, and Creative Loafing. He has also contributed to the Guardian, Rolling Stone, and the Washington Post.
