The head coach won't be the only newcomer at UFCU Disch-Falk Field during the 2025 baseball season.

Less than a week after Texas hired Jim Schlossnagle to coach its baseball team, a trio of transfers have announced that they will continue their collegiate careers in Austin. Pitchers Aiden Moffett and Thomas Burns and outfielder Easton Winfield are now set to join the Longhorns.

A 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher, Burns committed to Texas on Monday. The first true freshman to start a season opener on the mound for Arizona State since 2006, Burns had his debut season cut short by a bicep injury. He went 1-1 with a 4.75 ERA over 30 1/3 innings in 2024, and six of his 39 strikeouts were recorded against Schlossnagle's Texas A&M team on March 1.

A Texas native, Winfield joins the Longhorns after spending his freshman year at Louisiana-Monroe. Winfield led the Warhawks in batting average (.332), homers (10), runs (51) and steals (18).

Moffett pitched the past two seasons at LSU. As a sophomore, the 6-foot-3 right-hander made 16 appearances and posted a 5.60 ERA over 17 2/3 innings. He struck out 21 batters.

Winfield and Moffett both announced over the weekend that they'd be transferring to UT.
