Linda Hartman Scott-Weaver was born January 8, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas. Linda and her sister Lois Hartman Knighton lived on a farm in Mansfield, Texas with their parents Martin Luther and Rose Catherine Hartman. The family eventually moved to Fort Worth where Linda graduated from Western Hills High School. She attended Texas Wesleyan University where she majored in Home Economics. Upon graduation, she taught junior high school Home Economics for several years.

Linda lived in Edmond, Oklahoma with her first husband, an optometrist. While there she worked on her master’s degree in Home Economics. After her divorce, Linda got a position as Central Texas Area representative salesperson for Luxottica eyeglass frames. She was working for Luxottica, she met Mike Weaver. Linda and Mike married October 10, 1992 at Green Pastures in Austin, Texas.

Linda and her husband Mike Weaver attended Glad Tidings Church for over 20 years. Linda lead a Glad Care at their home for many years and was an outstanding Bible teacher. She was also a member of the intercessory prayer group at the church. Linda was a mighty prayer warrior and could pray powerful spirit filled prayers.

Linda was a teacher, mentor, friend, a sweet and gracious lady and wonderful woman of God.

Linda is predeceased by her husband Mike Weaver. She is survived by her sister Lois Knighton and niece Kari Knighton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 12PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin TX 78752 with a Funeral Service at 1:00PM and following a graveside at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
