Charlotte Morrow McClure passed away May 28, 2024 in Austin, Texas. She was surrounded in love and passed with dignity and grace, just as she lived her life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna McClure Klein, grandson Connor Klein, son John McClure, and grandsons Emmanuel Ananda, Tyler McClure, and Travis McClure.

She will be remembered for her love and warmth, for being a pioneering social worker and therapist, and the best mother/ grandmother imaginable. She lived by the maxim, "Whatever is in everyone's highest good, may that be served."

She was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 23, 1943 to Clifford and Dorothy Morrow. She had 2 younger brothers, David Morrow and Michael Morrow. All of her birth family have preceded her in death. She graduated from Amarillo High School in May of 1960. She married Tommy Lee McClure in October of 1962. They had 2 children, John and Donna. She helped to found the Rape Crisis and Domestic Abuse Center as well as working as a child welfare social worker. She obtained her master's degree from West Texas State University. She began her professional career in Amarillo, Texas as a counselor. She moved to Austin in 1988. She helped hundreds of people in her career serving dutifully and lovingly up until the last weeks before her death.
