Steven R Young

Steven Richard Young, 67, of Austin, TX passed away at his home on June 29th, 2024. Born on January 25th, 1957, in Rochester, NY, Steve was the beloved brother of Susan Young and the adored uncle of Gwendolyn Kinsman. Steve dedicated over 40 years to his work as a municipal design engineer, providing water and wastewater solutions to cities across the nation. Known for his love of adventure, Steve traveled globally to hike, camp, and experience the great outdoors. He was a voracious reader, and he was happiest when sculling with the Austin Rowing Club. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at the ARC boathouse on July 27th, 2024 at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Steve by donating to the Austin Rowing Club or to KUT Public Radio. Steve will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and adventurous spirit.
