SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 is one of the 17 Goals established by the United Nations in 2015. The official wording of SDG 16 is: “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.” Peace and justice are essential for economic growth, social development, and environmental protection. Achieving SDG 16 means creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential, and live together in peace and security.
