There isn't a more productive league from a financial standpoint than the National Football League in the United States of America. The Los Angeles Rams are one of 32 beneficiaries of that and the money keeps on rolling in.

According to Kurt Badenhausen of Sportico, the Rams and the other 31 NFL franchises were each given a check for $404 million due from revenue accrued during the 2023 season. It's an impressive number and one that is nearly $150 million more than the 2024 salary cap.

There are a multitude of ways that the NFL makes money throughout the year. That money comes from the following:

  • Media rights
  • League sponsorships
  • Shared revenue and royalties from various affiliates and subsidiaries

The revenue split that each team receives is more each year. The revenue from the 2023 season was approximately $30 million more than each team received in 2022, an 8% increase year over year. The $404 million is an estimate based on multiple figures gathered from multiple teams.

We will find out the exact number when the publically owned Green Bay Packers release their financial reports. The revenue split is massive, which is important with the impending NFL Sunday Ticket lawsuit settlement being valued at approximately $449 million per team.

Luckily for the Rams and every other NFL franchise, revenue continues to skyrocket and it could reach $500 million by 2026.
