Everyone knew that Texas' move to the SEC would supercharge what already promised to be a tough 2024 schedule. Now we know just how much excitement is due to play out on the field.

According to the numbers crunchers at Kelley Ford's K Ford Ratings, Texas is projected to play in four of the nine, 'most watchable' games of the entire 2024 season. That's almost half of the top-10.

Texas' most watchable contests include the top, most-watchable matchup (against Georgia), the No. 5 most watchable contest (the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma), No. 7 (Week 2 at Michigan) and the resumption of the Thanksgiving weekend face off with Texas A&M (which clocked in at number 9).

All of Texas' four highlighted games are ranked as a 9.9 or 10.0 on the watchability scale, more than any other team. Of Texas' new conference mates, Alabama comes next closest to the Longhorns, with four of the most watchable 11 matchups. Georgia (the number 1 and 2 matchup of the year), and longtime rival Oklahoma (two games) also have multiple games in the top-10.

Given Texas' penchant for nail-biting finishes in 2023, perhaps its only fitting that the Longhorns again find themselves near the top of the list.
