The Georgia Bulldogs have consistently produced NFL players under head coach Kirby Smart.
That's probably why so many recruits want to play there.
Smart and his staff secured another 4-star commitment on Monday, July 8 in safety Jaylan Morgan. He's one of the top players in the state of Tennessee, but opted to play for the Bulldogs instead of the in-state Volunteers.
The biggest reason for Morgan's decision? Georgia's ability to develop NFL talent.
“The development at Georgia is out of this world,” Morgan explained to On3. “I haven’t seen anybody besides Alabama when it was coached by Nick Saban produce constant talent for the NFL like Georgia does. I previously had relationships with coach Robinson and coach Williams before they got to Georgia. For them to come to the same school and have the same vision for me, that stuck out to me.”
The Bulldogs produced another eight players taken in the 2024 NFL Draft, including a pair of first-round picks in tight end Brock Bowers and offensive tackle Amarius Mims.
On top of the college-to-NFL pipeline, the Bulldogs have also won two national championships with a perfect 24-0 record in the SEC over the last three seasons. Their consistent dominance and NFL-caliber talent have turned them into arguably the biggest powerhouse in college football.
That looks like it will continue to be the case going forward. Morgan joins a 2025 recruiting class that continues to flirt with the No. 1 ranking in the country. Smart's staff continues to go back and forth with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide for the top class in college football.
With so much talent in the recruiting class, it's safe to expect a few recruits to eventually make it into the NFL.
