New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres exited Friday night's game against the Boston Red Sox with an injury.

During the bottom of the fourth inning, Torres legged out an infield single to load the bases with two outs. However, he was taken out of the game after being looked at by Aaron Boone and the training staff.

Torres had been dealing with a groin injury in the weeks prior, but it's unclear whether this is the same injury.

It's been a rough season for Torres, who will be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason. Not only has Torres struggled in the field, but his offensive production has dipped as well.

Though he's been better of late, Torres entered Friday night with a .638 OPS and a .221 batting average. Meanwhile, he leads all second basemen with 11 errors.

The Yankees have been bitten by the injury bug in recent weeks, and it appears Torres may be added to the list as well.
