Today, Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two. In our interview with Villeneuve from 2021, the filmmaker described the second part of the film as being all about the Freeman world, and that’s certainly borne out by the trailer, given its heavy focus on Zendaya and Javier Bardem’s characters.
According to Warner Bros., the film “will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
