The Friday before Memorial Day is designated as Don’t Fry Day, an initiative launched by The National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention to encourage everyone to stay sun safe sun as you kick off the summer. Let’s make Don’t Fry Day every day!

Destination Healthy Skin Hits the Road!

Destination Healthy Skin (DHS), our mobile free screening and education program kicked off on April 21 in Kansas City, KS. The program is designed to save lives. Inside the DHS RV, local volunteer dermatologists provide free full-body skin cancer screenings in private exam rooms. This spring and fall we’re visiting 24 communities around the United States.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, a good time to get back to basics. Here’s a quick refresher on the major types of skin cancer: how they form, what they look like and their prognoses.

Never Too Early, Never Too Late 

During Skin Cancer Awareness Month, we join the medical community, the skin care industry and the media to educate people about the prevention, early detection and treatment of skin cancer.

#LoveYourSkin is a public awareness campaign focused on education, early detection and sun protection for skin of color. Skin cancer is often diagnosed later in people of color, when it is more challenging to treat.⁠ Together, we can change that.
