STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A person was struck by a vehicle in Sunnyside and rushed to the hospital Monday afternoon, according to the New York City Fire Department.
The pedestrian strike was reported at 3:03 p.m. on Cheshire Place, between Melrose Avenue and Clove Road, according to an FDNY spokesman.
The spokesman added that one victim was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze with minor injuries.
The NYPD did not immediately respond to inquiries about this incident.
