NYC restaurants with outdoor dining have less than a month to register with the city

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- New York City restaurants that offer outdoor dining have less than a month to register with the city, or start facing fines.

Restaurants currently participating in New York City’s temporary outdoor dining program have until Aug. 3 to apply to the new Dining Out NYC program or face fines, according to the Department of Transportation.
