STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Residents of Staten Island may notice some overhead passes by low-flying helicopters this week.

These aerial expeditions are tasked with the objective of reducing mosquito activity and the risk of West Nile virus in the borough, according to the New York City Health Department.
