N.Y. Lottery: 2 winners get $14K in jackpot TAKE 5 prizes, both sold in same NYC borough

Two jackpot-winning tickets won more than $14,000 on a recent TAKE 5 drawing in New York state — with both tickets sold in the same New York City borough, according to lottery officials.

The New York Lottery announced that two winning tickets worth $14,766 were sold for the July 7 evening drawing, both in the Bronx. One ticket was purchased at 149 Liquor Store Corp., located at 149th St. Store 5, and a second ticket was purchased at Boston Road Candy Inc., located at 1737 Boston Rd.

The winning numbers for the drawing are: 5, 8, 16, 26, and 36.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. To win the TAKE 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 per game to play.

The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.

The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot? One in 575,757.
