The best time of the year is finally here.
That can only mean one thing: It’s Little League all-star season!
Starting Saturday, the all stars in each league will take the field as the District 24 -- or Staten Island -- championship tournaments in five divisions start. They will reach a fever pitch by the middle of next week and continue through the first week in July.
VISIT OUR LITTLE LEAGUE HOMEPAGE
As the Advance has been doing since the 1960s, we will once again bring you all the action as our reporters and photographers will be canvassing the Island for the best games.
You can follow all our coverage from the district events to the sectionals to the state events to regional play and then the World Series (if the Island is lucky enough to send a team or two in the different age groups), the latter of which concludes in late August.
