Blake Griffin most recently played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season when he was a member of the Boston Celtics.

That year, he averaged 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 48.5% from the field and 34.8% from the three-point range in 41 games (16 starts).

Griffin has not signed with a team this season, and on Tuesday, he officially announced that he is retiring from basketball.

Via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski: "Six-time All-Star F Blake Griffin announced his retirement from the NBA on Instagram. Griffin – the Clippers’ No. 1 overall pick in 2009 out of Oklahoma – made second-team All-NBA three times, third-team All-NBA twice and won the 2011 Rookie of the Year award. Griffin played his final season with the Celtics a year ago."

Griffin was the first pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and played 13 seasons in the league for the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers.

The six-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point range in 765 regular season games.

He also appeared in 68 NBA playoff games (64 starts).

The best years of Griffin's career came with Los Angeles and he was also an All-Star once time during his tenure with Detroit.

Griffin is one of the most exiting (and best dunkers) to ever play in the NBA.

He will have a chance to make the Basketball Hall of Fame.
