Paid for contentShetland filming to take place on Commercial Street today
SCENES for the new series of Shetland will be filmed today (Friday 14 June).
From 10am till mid/late afternoon (approx. 4pm) scenes will be filmed on Commercial Street between the Market Cross and Pitt Lane.
To do this safely and securely a full closure of Commercial Street has been granted to all vehicular traffic, bar disabled drivers and necessary business deliveries.
This is, of course, largely in line with the normal pedestrianisation of the street during this time.
Foot traffic/pedestrian access will be unaffected and all shops remain open for normal business.
Pedestrians may be asked to ‘hold’ for a few minutes while the team films actual ‘takes’ but that should be the extent of any disruption in that respect.
Nevertheless, ITV Shetland and Silverprint Pictures apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but thank everyone for their co-operation.
